Apparently Noah Hawley’s Star Trek 4 movie had gotten as far as casting when the plug was pulled. The movie would have been different from the previous Kelvin Timeline movies by having a brand new cast.  IN an interview Hawley had with Deadline, Hawley said about the movie quote "We were on the runway," Hawley says. There was major casting that we were in the middle of. We had a production schedule and I was getting ready to go to Australia. And then, as you said, new management. I guess in retrospect, what surprised me is not that Emma Watts came in and said, 'Are you people crazy? This is an untested crew. This is an original idea. We don't know if this is going to work or not work,' it's that I got as far as I did under Wyck [Godfrey] and Jim [Gianopulos]. It was a really fun movie and I think it would have been a great film, but you can't control these things, so you move on." unquote But Hawley’s okay with it, he said that he grieved for it, but now he‘s moved on and is currently developing the Alien television series for FX. By the way, if you're making a new Trek movie, give Dave Butista a call. Apparently, he wants to be in Star Trek. He might make a great villain or the bad guy's muscle….

Star Wars

Boba Fett’s ship will no longer be referred to as Slave One apparently. Now there has been no official word on the change, but people have noticed that the Lego version of the ship for the Mandalorian is being referred to on the box art as  “Boba Fett’s Starship” Lego toy designer Michael Lee Stockwell said that the toymaker was no longer using the Slave One name, hinting that the edict came down from Disney. The use of the terms slave and master have fallen out of favor recently due to their connection to the US’s history.

Actor Ewan McGregor and his wife actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead have a new baby, Ewan’s grown-up daughter Clara broke the new on Instagram saying quote "Welcome to the world little brother ❤️ congratulations to my Dad & Mary - this is the greatest gift," unquote Congrats to the couple

Rogue Squadron now has a writer. The Rogue One Spinoff movie has hired Matthew Robinson, who’s written Love and Monsters, and the live action Dora the Explorer movie. The movie will be directed by Patty Jenkins.

Well, there’s no hope for ever seeing Star Wars Detours according to co-creator Seth Green. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Robot Chicken creator said that There isn’t interest from Lucasfilm in releasing it on Disney Plus. The series was announced back in 2012 and thirty-nine installments, around six minutes in length each were completed, but shortly after that Lucasfilm was sold to Disney and the project was immediately sent to the vault that the ark of the covenant was stored in at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Green told EW quote "The most recent conversations I've had with anybody who would be in a position to say so say that it's not soon," says Green. Okay, but why?

"Well, there are 39 episodes that were finished for broadcast," notes Green. "But we finished them almost 10 years ago, and so there would have to be a bit of reconfiguring of the existing stuff to make it something that Disney+ would release as a Lucasfilm offering. And the way it's been explained to me is that there hasn't been enough interest high enough up to go through what it would take to put it out, and that there isn't an interest in releasing this content on Disney+ from Lucasfilm." unquote

The Transformers movie franchise rolls on with the news that one of the. projects Paramount has been working on has been titled Transformers Rise of The Beasts. The movie is just one of several new Transformers movie projects, and will be titled Transformers Rise of the Beasts. This one will be directed by Steven Caple Jr and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura who explained in a presentation why they decided to steer the franchise in a new direction quote"We wanted to give the audience a lot of new. We have exhausted I would say the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. How do we find a new set of villains and priorities, saving the world is left to the Autobots and in this case the Maximals. Part of the new news, if you've seen the other movies, you're going to see villains you've never seen before and a lot of elements we've never done before." unquote

The Lord of The Rings series has added some more to the first season cast of this epic television series. Added this time are Charles Edwards from (The Crown), Will Fletcher from (The Girl Who Fell), Amelie Child-Villiers from (The Machine) and newcomer Beau Cassidy The series first season is already estimated to cost 465 million dollars with a cast of 39.

Production on the fifth Indian Jones movie has been slowed after star and seventy-eight year old Harrison Ford hurt himself rehearsing a fight scene. The extent of the injury wasn’t immediately known, but we do know that it involves his shoulder. Director James Mangold will have to shoot around him while he has time to heal up. He crashes his plane and walks away, he gets hurt on The Force Awakens, he gets hurt on Indiana Jones. I think the universe is telling him to retire and stay put.

Good Omens is coming back for a second season. A rather surprising fact due to the fact that the first season is the only novel featuring the pair of Crowley and Aziraphale. The six-issue season two will begin filming later this year in Scotland. So I guess next year we will get….the rest of the story…

Interview with the Vampire will be turned into a tv series for AMC. THe series, based on the Anne Rice novel, will be the first to be adapted after AMC networks acquired the rights to eighteen of Ms. Rice’s books last year. Rolin Jones, who co-created and showruns HBOs reboot of Perry Mason will serve as creator, showrunner and writer on the Vampire series and will executive produce with Better Call Saul producer Mark Johnson while Ann and Christopher Rice will be non writing executive producers. The series will launch on AMC and AMC Plus i 2022

HBO series Lovecraft Country will not be returning for season two, according to deadline dot com. IN a statement issued to deadline by HBO quote “We will not be moving forward with a second season of Lovecraft Country,” HBO said in a statement to Deadline. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted cast and crew, and to Misha Green, who crafted this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, thank you for joining us on this journey.” The show which blended horror, period drama, fantasy scifi and social commentary was well received in pop culture circles back in August, However it just wasn’t enough for HBO.

Miracles do happen as NBCUniversal and Amazon came to a deal to bring the Peacock streaming service to FireTV devices. The one year old service will get access to FireTV’s fifty million active users. Currently, according to the Wall Street Journal the service has fewer than 10 million that actively pay for Peacock.

The new Pet Sematary movie has cast its first cast member, Deadline reports that actor Jackson White is in final negotiations to play young Jud Crandall. Jud, who was played by Fred Gwynne in the 1989 version of John Lithgow in the 2019 version. This version is being made for Paramount Plus.

Doctor Who star of the 60’s Jackie Lane has passed away, she played the First Doctor’s companion Dodo Chaplet, she joined the cast in 1966 and appeared in nineteen episodes, unfortunately only eleven of those have been found. After leaving Doctor Who, she became a theatrical agent, she even represented Fourth Doctor Tom Baker. She passed away on June 23rd at the age of 79.
