Batgirl star Leslie Grace told Entertainment Tonight about preparing for the role telling them to quote "This is only my second role, but I'm learning from my colleagues and other friends of mine that you put a little bit of yourself into each character," Grace explained. "And just in the bit of research that I've been doing leading into pre-production, I've learned a lot of things about Barbara that are very in line with me."

"She's someone who's been underestimated by even her own dad and being the youngest kid, sometimes you're insulated from all of the tough stuff of life and she's so eager to prove to herself and to everybody else that there's some things that she can handle," Grace continued. "So, this journey is definitely going to show me a lot of that. Tonight let’s finishing out remembering famous morning weather man Willard Scott who passed away on September fourth. Know I know what your thinking, what makes a morning show weatherman and wisher of 100 years olds “geek newsworthy”. Well, it goes back to his time at WRT-C in Washington DC. There he was a regional Bozo The Clown and as Willard wrote in his autobiography quote At the time, Bozo was the hottest children's show on the air. You could probably have sent Pluto the Dog or Dumbo the Elephant over and it would have been equally as successful. But I was there, and I was Bozo ... There was something about the combination of hamburgers and Bozo that was irresistible to kids ... That's why when Bozo went off the air a few years later, the local McDonald's people asked me to come up with a new character to take Bozo's place. So, I sat down and created Ronald McDonald. Willard appeared in 3 tv spots as the clown, but McDonalds never really acknowledged Willard’s contribution to the creation of the character until March 28, 2000, when the McDonald’s Northeast Division President Henry Gonzalez thanked him for creating the character during a taped tribute to Scott on the Today Show. The character has been a lasting part of McDonald’s for years to come.  Willard Scott was 87 years old.
