The Disney Plus She Hulk series at Disney Plus has cast The Good Place’s Jameela Jamil in a major role, Variety has confirmed. Now what role isn’t exactly known yet, but it’s suspected that she will be playing Marvel supervillain Titania, who has frequently matched muscle with She Hulk in the comics.

SOny had to move fast to counteract remarks by F9 Star Tyrese Gibson about Moribus’ status in the universe. Apparently the oops happened with an interview with comic book dot com that the actor, who is also in Sony Pictures upcoming Morbius movie. Gibson was asked if Morbius was in the MCU and he said quote “Yes' ' They pressed further asking if he thought the avengers were a part of this world and he replied quote Yes. unquote.   Unfortunately Sony’s Marvel Characters are not in Disney’s MCU. Sony later put out a statement correcting the actors gaffe. Also we might want to heap some shame on the interviewer at comic book dot com for the question, I certainly wouldn’t have asked a question like that. 

Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends, a series for preschoolers, is coming to Disney Junior on August sixth. The show will be simulcast on both Disney ChAnnel and Disney Junior at 9 Eastern and Pacific. The show will follow Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy as they are joined by other heroes like Hulk and Black Panteer to defeat villains like Rhino, Doc Ock and Green Goblin and learn who teamwork can save the day. The series voice cast includes Benjamin Valic (Sonic the Hedgehog) as Peter Parker, Lily Sanfelippo (Disney Junior's The Chicken Squad) as Gwen Stacy and Jakari Fraser (Ben Is Back) as Miles Morales.

The series will be available in DisneyNow on Friday August sixth and will come to Disney Plus sometime later.

Legendary Writer Larry Hama along with artist Billy Tan will be bringing a brand new classic Wolverine and Jubilee Team up in X-Men Legends number seven. Larry had a long run on Wolverine in the nineties and this story harkens back to those days. As quote When two young mutants disappear, Wolverine and Jubilee set off for Japan to track them down. But Lady Deathstrike and the Hand have their own designs on the duo, and it’ll take no small measure of blood, sweat and adamantium to change their mind, kicking off a deadly international mutant conflict! Unquote X-Men Legends number seven hits stands in September.

The possible Blue Beetle movie, that’s been hinted at but now put on any footing yet. Might apparently be going to HBO Max. According to THe Los Angeles Times in a report about WarnerMedia’s movie strategy, it listed Blue Beetle and Batgirl as films that are being made exclusively for the companies streaming service. The Blue Beetle movie is supposed to be directed by Charm City Kings’ Angel Manuel Soto and written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer and would follow Jamie Reyes as the main character.

DC’s League of Super-pets movie has added started lining up the star power to voice characters in the movie. Joining Dwayne The Rock Johnson will be Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna and Keanu Reeves. Jared Stern has penned the script for the movie and will be codirecting it with Sam Levine. The movie is due out on May 20th 2022.

You will want to stay through the credits for James Gunn’s THe Suicide Squad movie as the director has confirmed that their will be post credit scenes on the movie. IN response to the question if it will have one he responded quote . I hope this isn’t the most important question, as I think the movie itself is what matters most, but yes. #TheSuicideSquad.

Aquaman 2 now has an official title. The sequel will now be Aquaman and the Lost kingdom. The news was revealed by filmmaker James Wan, the movie is now in pre production stage and stars Jason Mamoa with Amber Heard and Patrick Wilson expected back as well. The original one was the most successful outside of The Dark Knight trilogy grossing more than one billion dollars.

Jim Mickle the co creator and showrunner on Netflix’s Sweet Tooth will be directing God Country, based on a comic written by Donny Cates. Published by Image Comics, God Country tells the story of Emmet Quinlan, an old widower afflicted with dementia and violent outbursts. When a tornado hits his West Texas town, Quinlan is rejuvenated thanks to an enchanted sword he finds in the wreckage. Which is good as a host of dastardly creatures are about to descend on what remains of the town. Cates wrote the script for the adaptation which is being produced by Lee Kramer and Jon Kramer of Aftershock Media, Mickle will also produce.

Jon Hamm will star in a reboot of the Fletch movie series. Chevy Chase played the wisecracking reporter in the original Fletch in 1985 and the sequel Fletch Lives in 1989. Since then the Fletch series has been fallow, with everyone from Harvey Weinstein to Kevin Smith to Jason Sudeikis have tried to make a new one.Finally last year it was announced that the character might finally get another chance at the screen. This new movie, called Confess Fletch, will be directed by Greg Mottola from a Zev Borow script. Jon Hamm will also produce the film. This movie will be adapted from the original novel by Gregory Mcdonald. The logline for the Fletch reboot reads quote “In a mysterious chain of wild events, Fletch finds himself in the middle of multiple murders – one of which pins him as a prime suspect. While on a quest to prove his innocence, Fletch is tasked with finding his fiancée’s stolen art collection, the only inheritance she’s acquired after her father goes missing and is presumed dead.” unquote The movie goes in front of the camera this month.

Mindy Kaling’s Velma series on HBO Max will reimagine the character as a girl of East Asian descent. The series will also not have the Mystery Machine or Scooby-Doo. WarnerMedia’s Tom Ascheim, president of Warner Bros Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics about the show said in a keynote address quote "Not for children, but we have a Mindy Kaling project called 'Velma' because she was excited to re-imagine what Scooby-Doo would be like if Velma were of East Asian descent and lived in a different world."

 "There's no dog, and there's no van, but we have our four key characters through a different lens. And I think it's great. So allowing our creators to play with our IP is super powerful." unquote The characters he is speaking about are Velma, Fred,Daphne and Shaggy. But no Scooby, at least not yet. 

The popular game, Roblox is being sued by the National Music Publishers Association for 200 million dollars for allegedly using songs from numerous artists illegally. The suit alleges that Roblox used works by Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons, deadmau5, Ed Sheeran and the Rolling Stones and others without compensating writers or copyright holders. Roblox has issued a statement saying that it will quote “vigorously as we work to achieve a fair resolution” with the music publishers.] unquote The company was founded in 2004 and went public earlier this year with a market capitalization of 52 billion dollars.

New Line Cinema is returning to the world of Middle Earth, but this time it will be animated.The Lord of The Rings The War of the Rohirrim has been fast tracked by Warner Bros Animation and New Line Cinema.The stand alone film will depict the saga behind Helm’s Deep, the fortress from The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. And Helm Hammerhand, the king of Rohan who spent much of his reign in a prolonged and costly war. Vetern anime filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama will direct from a screenplay by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews.The project is intended to be connected to Peter Jackson’s Rings Trilogy. However, it is not connected to Amazon;s series.

Actor Frank Bonner has passed away. Frank is best known for his role of sales manager Herb Tarlek on the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. He also acted in other shows like Mannix, Night Court, Just the Ten of Us and The New WKRP in Cincinnati. He also directed shows in the 80’s and 90’s like Who’s The Boss?, Head of the Class, Newhart and Saved by the Bell: The New Class, in which he also guest starred in five episodes. Bonner was married five times. He died on June sixteenth in Laguna Niguel, California from complications from Lewy body dementia, he was seventy nine years old.

And finally tonight, we remember actor Ned Beatty. Born in July of 1937, Ned acted in more than 160 movies including Deliverance, All the President’s Men, Network, Superman, Back to School, Rudy and Toy Story 3.  In his long career he was nominated for the Academy Award for Network, two Emmy Awards, and MTV Movie Award for Best Villain for Lotso in Toy Story 3 and a Golden Globe. His first film was in 1972, Deliverance, where his character of Bobby Trippe and friends end up going the wrong way and meet a group of rappie hillbillies. Other memorable roles include Lex Luthor’s sidekick in Superman and Superman II, roles in The Incredible Shrinking Woman, The Toy, Stroker Ace, The 1990’s version of Captain America and more, his final movie role was in Baggage Claim in 2013.

He also did tv appearances, showing up in episodes of Kojak, Teh Rockford Files, MASH,Murder She Wrote, six episodes of Rosanne as Ed Conner, Dan’s dad, and thirty three appearances on Homicide Life of the Street as Stanley Bolander. His final role was in a 2013 episode of Go On.

Ned Beatty died at his Los Angeles home on June thirteenth from natural causes. He was 83 years old.
